Liz’s (she/her) origins are as a certified birth doula, childbirth educator, and birth professional trainer. She now primarily works as an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant, a craniosacral therapist, and a mental & emotional health worker. Liz is a licensed social worker in independent practice and as a therapist at Vayda. Her work focuses on reproductive and perinatal health, individuals going through life transitions such as separation/divorce, health diagnoses, loss, grief, and various forms of trauma, especially related to pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. She is not here to dictate the “best” way to birth, feed, parent, or live but rather to create space for individuals to make truly informed decisions that feel right for them. Liz believes in the powerful capacity for healing and offers non-judgmental, culturally responsive, trauma-informed care to all the individuals and families she has the honor and privilege of serving.Liz earned a Master of Social Work and a Master of Science in Disaster Resilience Leadership at Tulane University in New Orleans and is in her second year to earn her Doctorate in Public Health with plans to create more accessible mental and emotional support services.Liz lives in the Twin Cities, MN metro area with her four fabulous children (three earthly, one in heaven) who inspire and humble her on a daily basis. She has vast experience navigating the medical and special education systems with her children and has a passion for supporting families as they navigate these challenging systems. She is a proud member of the LBGTQIA+ community, both herself and as an ally for her transgender son and provides a welcoming space for all members and allies. Liz serves families and individuals virtually throughout the entire metro and surrounding area and educates perinatal professionals worldwide
