Amanda’s path to this work began as a professional dancer in New York City, where she developed a deep appreciation for movement, the body, and the ways people experience change physically and emotionally. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Performing Arts and spent many years working as a movement and corrective exercise professional, with much of her work focused on supporting people during pregnancy and the postpartum period. She also has experience as a birth and postpartum doula, which further shaped her interest in supporting individuals and families through the many complexities of building a family. She is especially passionate about offering compassionate support around infertility, pregnancy loss, grief, anxiety, depression, and other difficult or unexpected experiences that can arise during the perinatal period.
Currently, Amanda is pursuing her Master of Counseling Psychology at the University of St. Thomas and is a counseling practicum student with Vayda Mental Health Collaborative. She cares deeply about creating spaces where people feel seen, heard, and able to speak honestly about their experiences without judgment. Amanda believes there is real value in having our stories witnessed by others and in finding connection with people who understand something of what we are carrying.
