In this month’s episode of the Stillbirth Matters podcast Chris Duffy visits with Dr. Derek Brown.

Derek Brown is a board-certified Emergency Medicine physician practicing in San Antonio. He is currently completing an Emergency Medical Services and Disaster Medicine fellowship and pursuing a Master of Public Health. He and his wife, Jenna, recently started the San Antonio chapter of Star Legacy after enduring the loss of their first-born son, Lucas. Lucas was stillborn in April of 2018, just 2 days before his due date. Derek and his wife know what it is like to have no answers when you lose a child and hope to bring awareness and support to other loss families in the San Antonio area.
