Grief and Trauma in Reproductive Loss

In this episode Chris Duffy visits with Jodie Hnatkovich LPC, PMH-C. Jodie is the founder of Forward Wellness Counseling in Pittsburgh, PA and recently launched the Reproductive Counseling Center in the Squiirrel Hill neighborhood of Pittsburgh. Jodie coincidentally experienced the stillbirth of her daughter Mae at the same time she completed her professional credentials which led her to specialize her practice in the areas of reproductive grief and trauma.

Jodie is the founder of Forward Wellness Counseling in Pittsburgh, PA and recently launched the Reproductive Counseling Center in the Squirrel Hill neighborhood of Pittsburgh.   She recently launched a non-profit focused on reducing barriers to reproductive mental health care – Forward Allies for Equity in Mental and Reproductive Health.  Forwaard Allies has established a fund to support mental health of those without resources. 

As a clinician, Jodie supports families and providers moving through the pain of trauma and loss. She is a licensed professional counselor (LPC), Certified in Perinatal Loss Care (CPLC), and Certified in Perinatal Mental Health (PMH-C) with over 15 years of experience working with unexpected loss and trauma.  She also facilitates trainings and workshops for other providers supporting families.
