On June 19, 2024, Gianna Dove was born still, but her impact was great. After suffering from a miscarriage before Gianna, we were beyond excited to welcome another perfect addition to our family. At 19 weeks, Gianna and I contracted parvovirus, causing Gianna severe anemia leading to hydrops. Despite several grueling fetal blood transfusions, we lost our fight at 25 weeks. Gianna lived and thrived within me for 25 weeks – 2 hearts in one, 1 now in heaven and the other shattered into a million pieces. Although Gianna was our 4th pregnancy, she was the one that truly taught me that life begins way before birth and that grief has no end. We will hold Gianna in our hearts until we’re able to hold her in heaven.
