North Carolina, Triangle Area Chapter

Welcome to the NC Triangle Area Chapter of Star Legacy Foundation!

We currently serve the Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill area. All members of the community are welcome to participate in chapter meetings and events.

Established in January 2019, our members include parents, family, and friends who have been touched by stillbirth. We seek to offer a network of support for anyone who has experienced a similar tragedy. We strongly believe that no one needs to suffer in silence or alone.

Our mission is to support to families who are dealing with this loss, both through local group meetings as well as through access to Star Legacy resources. We also aim to raise public awareness regarding the occurrence of stillbirth through chapter events and fundraisers.

We believe that many of these tragedies can be prevented, and we ultimately hope to lower the number of stillbirths in the central North Carolina/Sandhills area.

On October 12, the NC Triangle Area Chapter hosted the 2nd annual Sophie and Ruby’s Bowl for Babies tournament and raised over $2,000 in support of Star Legacy Foundation and families affected by pregnancy loss. We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated in the event and helped make it a success! We’d especially like to thank the Sunrise Theater, River Jack Outdoor Trading Company, Southern Pines Brewing, and Jim Gunderson for contributing our raffle prizes, as well as all of our fantastic artists who painted beautiful bowling pins for the event.
